This was a typical kid's closet, one rod running from end to end and hung way too high for a child to reach. There was no room for a dresser in this bedroom so a shelving unit was added that could hold cloth bins for socks, underwear, etc. The majority of the space was used for everyday clothes and the right side for longer items and a laundry hamper.
When organizing the closet the items the children were currently wearing went on the bottom so they could reach them and the off season items were hung above.
The closet was measured so that adult clothing could also fit, that way there is no need to adjust it as the children grows.
Kid's closets can become very overwhelming. Decluttering and maximizing space is key!
